HSW-V Fairway Wood
The new HSW-V Fairway wood is designed to be a high trajectory club that makes hitting great shots more fun. It's a club that golfers really want to pull out of their bag and use - the distance club. The HSW-V FW uses a high rebound material (conforming) to increase ball speeds and for achieving big distance though carefully designed loft selections and center of gravity design. Forgiving and easier to use make this a high performance fairway wood for all golfers. Having a slightly smaller shape also helps its appeal to better players. The 5th generation of of Geotech's HSW series, the HSW-V FW.
ULTRA REBOUND FACE
By utilizing a GF180 material in the 3W and 4W, which is harder and stronger than standard face materials like stainless steel (in the 5W, 7W), the HSW-V FW is able to create a face 35% thinner greatly improving rebound performance for the 3W and 4W. The 5W and 7W use a variable thickness SUS630 face which help create more of a focus on stability.
HIGHER LAUNCH DESIGN
The lofts were purposely designed to be on the weak side (16 degrees for the 3W) ensuring a higher launch angle even for shots off the ground. By optimizing the center of gravity design, the backspin, launch and ball speeds all result in a higher trajectory with more hang time and distance.
VARIABLE THICKNESS CROWN DESIGN
By incorporating a variable thickness crown design, the HSW-V fw is able move excess weight towards the sole. This allows the center of gravity to shift deeper and further back. This is HSW or Heavy Sole Weight design which the club is named after. Creating the ideal center of gravity for optimal launch and maximum distance.
VERSATILE STEP SOLE DESIGN
The step sole design of the HSW-V reduces friction and resistance when the club comes in contact with the ground. This allows players to achieve maximum swing speed through the impact zone and creates more stable performance in various lies. The slit behind the sole improves body rigidity and increases energy transfer for maximum power.
CONSTANT FORM DESIGN
Constant form design is part of the HSW series. We minimize the difference in form/shape across all lofts which aim at reducing shot variation by creating a consistent image and swing thus resulting in more accurate flight distance based on each specific loft.
