Mid Sized Undercut Cavity Back
The GT Forged I-813 is a smallish mid-sized iron featuring a CNC Machined undercut cavity. The undercut helps spread weight lower and towards the heel and toe for a wider and lower sweet spot. This allows average golfers to catch the sweet spot more often resulting in more distance and better feel. The stronger lofts and low CG help launch the ball in the air and carry far and long. The slightly longer heel toe length adds to improving overall forgiveness by widening the sweet spot towards the outer edges.
Strong Lofts More Distance
We are all looking for more distance so the reasonably stronger lofts of the I-813 are a welcome addition for adding yards. 25* for the 5 iron and 32* for the 7 iron can see many players gain close to 1 club.
Catch that ball square
There is slight offset or what we call a semi-goose neck on the I-813 which helps golfers square the face at impact for more pure shots. More pure shots equal better feel and better direction and distance. It also provides a sense of confidence at address for those who aren’t necessarily the best ball strikers.
A grind to help
The I-813 features a killed leading edge with a crescent type grind. This helps reduce bad shots in various conditions including bare ground or conditions that are too soft (bunkers too).
